Invisalign in Dubai: Clear Aligners Planned by a Specialist Orthodontist

Specialist-Led Invisalign in Al Satwa, Next to Jumeirah

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of removable clear aligners instead of brackets and wires. At Smile On Dental Clinic in Al Satwa, every Invisalign case is assessed and planned by Dr. Jeffrey Manuel, our Medical Director and Specialist Orthodontist, so you get a clear answer on whether aligners suit your teeth, how long treatment will take and what it will cost before you commit.

Most cases cost AED 12,000 to AED 22,000, including progress visits and your first retainer, and you see a 3D preview of your result at your first visit.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a clear aligner system made by Align Technology. You wear a sequence of custom thermoplastic trays, each for one to two weeks, and each tray moves your teeth a small, planned distance toward their final position.

Because the aligners are removable, you take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, brush and floss. There are no food restrictions and no brackets to clean around. Treatment is planned digitally from an iTero scan, so the full sequence of tooth movements is mapped before the first aligner is made.

Invisalign treats:

  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps and spacing
  • Overbite and underbite
  • Crossbite and open bite
  • Teeth that have shifted after previous braces

Your Invisalign Dentist in Dubai: Dr. Jeffrey Manuel

An Invisalign dentist in Dubai can be a general dentist or a specialist orthodontist. At Smile On, your treatment is planned by a specialist. Dr. Jeffrey Manuel, our Medical Director and Specialist Orthodontist, reviews every scan, approves every treatment plan and sees you at your progress checks.

This matters because Invisalign software proposes tooth movements automatically, but it does not account for your bite, your gum health or how your jaw functions. A specialist corrects that plan: deciding where attachments go, whether small amounts of enamel reshaping are needed to create space, and when fixed braces would give a more predictable result. If aligners are not the right tool for your case, Dr. Manuel will tell you at the consultation.

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Invisalign suits most adults and teenagers with mild to moderate crowding, spacing or bite problems who can wear aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day. It is a good fit if you:

  • Want treatment that is hard to notice at work or in photos
  • Travel often and need fewer clinic visits
  • Play contact sports or a wind instrument
  • Had braces before and your teeth have moved since

Fixed braces may be the better choice if you have a severe jaw discrepancy, teeth that need large rotations, or you know you will struggle to wear aligners consistently. We also offer metal and ceramic braces, lingual braces and Damon braces, so your recommendation is based on your teeth, not on the one system a clinic happens to offer.

For children with developing jaws, Invisalign First is designed for early treatment. Our clinic sees patients from Jumeirah, Al Wasl, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Al Barsha, Bur Dubai and Deira.

The honest point on compliance is worth making clearly: Invisalign works when you wear it. Patients who consistently wear their aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day get the results their treatment plan promises.

Patients who wear them less than that will see slower progress and possibly need additional aligners to complete the correction. If you know you would struggle with that discipline, fixed braces may be the more reliable choice for your case, and your orthodontist will say so honestly during the consultation.

The Invisalign Process at Smile On, Step by Step

Step 1: Consultation and Assessment
Your first appointment covers a full orthodontic examination. We assess your teeth, bite, and jaw alignment, take digital X-rays, and discuss your goals. We also confirm whether Invisalign is clinically appropriate for your case. If fixed braces would serve you better, we will say that.
Step 2: Digital Scanning and Treatment Planning
An iTero digital scan of your teeth is taken, replacing the need for traditional impressions. Your orthodontist uses the scan to build a precise digital treatment plan and you can see a simulation of how your teeth will move and what the final result is expected to look like.
Step 3: Aligner Fabrication
Your custom Invisalign clear aligners are manufactured by Align Technology and delivered to the clinic. Each aligner in your series is made specifically for your teeth and designed to apply the exact amount of movement prescribed at each stage.
Step 4: Fitting and Wearing Your Aligners
You collect your first set of aligners and receive full instructions on how to wear them, when to change to the next set, and how to care for them. You wear each set for one to two weeks and change to the next set at home as directed.
Step 5: Progress Reviews
You return to the clinic every 6 to 8 weeks for a progress check. Your orthodontist reviews tooth movement against the treatment plan and provides your next set of aligners.
Step 6: Completion and Retainers
Once your final aligner is complete, your teeth are assessed, and a retainer is fitted to hold your result long-term. Wearing your retainer as directed is essential. Teeth will shift back toward their original positions without it.

Invisalign Cost in Dubai: What You Pay and What It Covers

Invisalign at Smile On Dental Clinic costs AED 12,000 to AED 22,000 for most cases. Where your case falls depends on how much movement is needed and how many aligners your plan requires. You receive a written quote for the full amount before treatment starts, so there are no surprises halfway through.

Case typeTypical issuesTypical durationWhere it sits in the range
MildMinor crowding, small gaps, shifting after old braces6 to 12 monthsLower end, from AED 12,000
ModerateCrowding and spacing with mild bite correction12 to 18 monthsMiddle of the range
ComprehensiveSignificant crowding or bite correction, both arches18 to 24 monthsUpper end, up to AED 22,000

What Your Quote Includes

  • Orthodontic examination with Dr. Jeffrey Manuel
  • iTero digital scan and 3D treatment preview
  • All aligners in your treatment plan
  • Attachments and any enamel reshaping your plan needs
  • Progress appointments every 6 to 8 weeks
  • Your first set of retainers at the end of treatment

What Is Not Included

  • Treatment needed before aligners, such as fillings, gum care or a professional teeth cleaning
  • Replacement of lost or damaged aligners
  • Retainer replacements after your first set

What Changes the Price

The main factors are how many aligners your plan needs, whether one or both arches are treated, and whether your bite needs correcting as well as straightening. A case limited to the front teeth needs fewer aligners and sits at the lower end. Full bite correction sits at the upper end.

Payment Plans and Insurance

Monthly payment plans are available to spread the cost. Most UAE insurance policies exclude adult orthodontics, but some plans include partial cover. Our front desk team can check your policy and prepare the documentation for your claim.

Why Some Invisalign Offers in Dubai Cost Much Less

Much cheaper offers usually differ in one of three ways: a different aligner brand, a limited package with a capped number of aligners, or a treatment plan approved by someone without orthodontic specialist training. Ask any clinic which aligner system it uses, how many aligners are included and who approves the plan. Our Invisalign cost guide covers this in more detail.

Before and After Invisalign: What to Expect

Most patients notice visible change within 2 to 3 months, and full results arrive by the end of the plan, usually between 6 and 24 months. Here is what each stage typically feels like.

First week: Expect pressure for two to three days with each new aligner, which is a sign the aligner is working. Some patients have a slight lisp that fades within days.

Months 1 to 3: Wearing and changing aligners becomes routine. Small gaps begin to close and crowded front teeth start to straighten.

Midway through: Change is most visible now. At progress checks we compare your teeth with your 3D plan.

Final aligners: Your teeth are close to the planned position. If one tooth has lagged, a short set of refinement aligners corrects it. This is common and part of normal treatment.

After treatment: Attachments are polished off and your teeth retainers take over. Most patients wear retainers every night long term.

Realistic Results

When aligners are worn as directed, the final result should closely match your 3D preview. Invisalign changes the position of your teeth, not their colour or shape. Many patients follow treatment with teeth whitening or refine small chips and edges with composite bonding.

Living With Invisalign in Dubai

Coffee and eating out: Remove your aligners for anything other than water, then rinse or brush before putting them back in.

Ramadan: Your aligners stay in during fasting hours, which makes wear time easier to meet. Remove them for iftar and suhoor and brush before reinserting. We can adjust your aligner change schedule during the month if needed.

Travel: Take your current set, your next set and your previous set. If an aligner is lost abroad, the previous set holds your progress until you are back.

Cleaning: Rinse aligners in cool water and brush them gently. Hot water can warp the plastic.

Yes. Your first Invisalign consultation is free. Dr. Manuel examines your teeth, explains your options and tells you whether Invisalign or braces will give you the more predictable result.

Most patients feel pressure for two to three days with each new aligner, which shows the teeth are moving. There are no wires or brackets to rub your cheeks, so mouth sores are much less common than with braces.

20 to 22 hours a day. Remove them only to eat, drink anything other than water and clean your teeth. Wearing them less slows progress and can add extra aligners to your plan.

Only water. Remove aligners for meals, coffee, tea and other drinks, then rinse or brush before putting them back so food and sugar are not trapped against your teeth.

Yes, in many mild to moderate cases. Severe jaw discrepancies may need fixed braces or combined treatment. Dr. Manuel will confirm which approach suits your bite at the consultation.

Yes. Teeth that shifted after braces are one of the most common reasons adults choose Invisalign, and these cases are often shorter and sit at the lower end of the price range.

Most UAE policies exclude adult orthodontics, but some plans include partial cover. Our team will check your policy and help prepare the documentation for your claim.

Yes. You can spread the cost of Invisalign over monthly payments. We explain the options when you receive your written quote.

Attachments are small tooth-coloured bumps bonded to selected teeth. They give the aligners grip to make specific movements and are polished off when treatment ends.

Yes. Aligners stay in during fasting hours and come out for iftar and suhoor. Many patients find wear time easier to meet during Ramadan.

Yes. Teeth tend to move back without one. Your first retainers are included in your Invisalign quote, and most patients wear them every night long term.

Teenagers can use standard Invisalign. For younger children with developing jaws, Invisalign First is designed for early treatment. We assess suitability at the consultation.
